“One rule with beauty products is that if you could not eat it, DO NOT put it on to your skin.” – Marina Love
Have you ever flipped over a bottle of your favorite beauty mask and read the ingredients? If not go and do it now. Often you will see a plethora of unpronounceable ingredients, which are more than likely harsh chemicals. Chemicals that will subtract from your beauty rather than add to it in the long run.
We must be informed about the products we are using! Even so-called natural products contain highly toxic and irritating ingredients that are not compatible with the body’s biochemistry. The average woman uses 12 personal care products daily, where men aren’t far behind, using 7 in their daily routine. Your skin eats and directly absorbs these products into your blood stream via a process called transdermic penetration. Similar to how nicotine is used for cessation of smoking, hormones for birth control, and nitroglycerin for angina pectoris, all of these substances are placed onto the skin using a patch, where the skin absorbs them directly into the bloodstream.
If potentially irritating or harmful chemicals and artificial colorants and fragrances can be absorbed by your skin, then so can highly beneficial natural ingredients which can promote beauty and wellness. The time is SO now for getting back to the basics, as many of us in search of beauty and becoming absolutely flawless have become blinded by wanting to become synthesized, smoothed, and physical augmented. Hollywood hype is not reality; let’s not lose sight of our true selves in the name of beauty.
Try this 100% Natural and Organic Refining Mask! It takes 2 minutes to make and your skin will thank you!
This mask gently exfoliates, tightens and bleaches dull, slack, blotchy skin, leaving behind a “raspberry radiance”
*Recommended for all skin types except for dry, dehydrated, sensitive, sunburned, or windburned skin. Use as tolerated on environmentally damaged skin.
You will need;
- 1/4 fresh raspberries
- 2 tsp finely ground white clay
- 2 tsp ground oatmeal
1)Using a motar and pestle or small bowl with a fork, mash the raspberries until nearly smooth. If the berries on on the dry side add a little bit of spring water until the mixture is uniform. Stir in clay and oats and mix together until a spreadable paste forms. Allow the oats and clay to absorb moisture and thicken for a minute or two. If the resulting mixture is too thick add a bit more spring water. On the other hand, if it is too runny add in more oats.
2) Using your fingers, spread paste onto the face, throat, and decollete (if desired), then lie down and rest while the mask dries. Make sure to safe guard hair and clothing prior to application. Leave on for 20-30 minutes.
VOILA! Instantly beautified skin with fresh ingredients you can see, smell, experience, and most importantly PRONOUNCE!
